About the Virtual Consulate Brisbane

The Virtual Consulate is a new tool of U.S. diplomacy that enables the U.S. Mission to have a presence in regions where there is no Consulate or Embassy physically located. Through a regular program of activities and visits across Queensland supported by the Virtual Consulate webpage we aim to enhance interaction and understanding between Queensland and the United States.

Through this Virtual Consulate, people in Queensland will find a wealth of useful information about the United States, including: how to apply for a U.S. visa, how to find an American business partner, and how to participate in U.S. programs and activities. Americans interested in learning about Queensland will also find useful links to state and local government, business and commercial information, educational and cultural activities and much more.

An important aspect of the Virtual Consulate is the diverse calendar of discussion programs that will be presented by members of the U.S. Mission to Australia and visitors from the United States.
