Special Notice

On August 21, 2008, the U.S. Embassy in Australia revised the consular exchange rate from AUD1.10 to AUD1.15.

Payments received by American Citizen Services in Australian Dollars on or after August 21, 2008 will be subject to the revised consular exchange rate. Incorrect payments will be returned and the correct amount will be requested. We do not accept payments for incorrect or multiple checks/money-orders for these services even if you have overpaid. Payment must be for the correct amount in Australian Dollars.

Payments in U.S. Dollars will not be affected.

Certified Check

Either Australian or U.S. currency, payable to U.S. Consulate General. Personal or company checks will not be accepted.

The Consulate General in Perth does not accept U.S. currency, either cash, check, or money order.

Either Australian or U.S. currency, payable to U.S. Consulate General. Personal or company checks will not be accepted.
